Petroleum jelly is known to be great for your skin! I loved to use it on my hands and feet and even on my lips to keep my skin soft and smooth!
However, since I switched to a more toxin-free life, I completely cut it out of my life! I just happened to find this DIY recipe though, so I finally can have it back into my life, without other added chemicals!!
2 oz of Olive Oil (Buy Here)
2 oz of Fractionated Coconut Oil (Buy Here)
1 oz of Beeswax Pellets (Buy Here)
10 drops of Essential Oils (I used 5 drops of Lavender Essential Oil and 5 drops of Gentle Baby Essential Oil Blend, Learn more here)
Container of your choice: I used a few of these 1 oz glass jars
Make a double boiler with a medium sauce pot filled with water and a glass pyrex measuring cup, bring the water to a boil
Add the beeswax pellets to the measuring cup, and stir with a glass rod until it is completely melted
Then, add the olive oil and coconut oil and stir until everything is completely melted and mixed together
Remove the glass measuring cup from the heat and let it sit for 30 minutes or until it is completely cooled.
Add your essential oils and stir until it makes a petroleum jelly consistency, then add it to your container
