DIY Essential Oil Infused Petroleum Jelly

Petroleum jelly is known to be great for your skin! I loved to use it on my hands and feet and even on my lips to keep my skin soft and smooth!

However, since I switched to a more toxin-free life, I completely cut it out of my life! I just happened to find this DIY recipe though, so I finally can have it back into my life, without other added chemicals!!

  • 2 oz of Olive Oil (Buy Here)

  • 2 oz of Fractionated Coconut Oil (Buy Here)

  • 1 oz of Beeswax Pellets (Buy Here)

  • 10 drops of Essential Oils (I used 5 drops of Lavender Essential Oil and 5 drops of Gentle Baby Essential Oil Blend, Learn more here)

  • Container of your choice: I used a few of these 1 oz glass jars

  • Make a double boiler with a medium sauce pot filled with water and a glass pyrex measuring cup, bring the water to a boil

  • Add the beeswax pellets to the measuring cup, and stir with a glass rod until it is completely melted

  • Then, add the olive oil and coconut oil and stir until everything is completely melted and mixed together

  • Remove the glass measuring cup from the heat and let it sit for 30 minutes or until it is completely cooled.

  • Add your essential oils and stir until it makes a petroleum jelly consistency, then add it to your container
